I really like the concept behind this... the execution isn't too shabby either. I was experimenting with alternative shading techniques, so I was playing with charcoal after I inked the cage/girl/bird and came up with the base shading, then added subdued color tones on the dress and saturated color tones where it was symbolically effective.
Yeah. So the guy looks a little disproportionate. I'm also not 100% happy with the amount of shading detail that was lost in the scan. Oh well. -_-;;

yea i really like this. the caged girl always is a cool yet unapreciated subject.
